And Now... Running Bad

I really better stop posting great results because the moment I do, an electronic impulse sends a message to the online poker site and tells me to f*ck with me.

I had retransferred the loan I got from MnlGrind for my online account with about $200 leftover. 6 days later and a bunch of really really sick sick beats I am down to ZERO. It's a good thing I can't redeposit immediately which allows me to cooldown a bit.

Played some live poker at the Metro and lost around P500. Peanuts really but I was actually happy with my game because I was completely card dead. It was a great time to practice some other plays and reads. I actually won a P2,000 pot with a pair of 4s when I sensed my opponent was on a total bluff. That felt really cool.

Well I guess I have to wait and see. Am thinking of sinking around P200K in a real bankroll so I can truly do some damage (to myself?). Bit for now, its casual playing at the 10/20s and 25/50s.

Officially Running Good

I seem to have made the transition to Ring Games very well. I havent been able to hit the Metro because I found that the 25c/50c blinds at FTP are basically the same as the P25/P50 games there. I buy in for $20 which is similar to buying in for P2,000.

The upside is that the rake in FTP is 5%, I have a 27% rakeback and I can play 3 tables at the same time. I will still make it a point to go to the metro but for now the convenience of online poker has me hooked.

I have ran close to 14 out 17 winning sessions (by winning session I mean winning at least 50% of my buy-in up to a maximum of 300% of my buy-in) and my once dismal $43 is now up to $290. Am getting close to my goal of having a $400 bankroll so I can grind the Rings for steady increases and taking my shots at the big MTTs without having to worry about what the buy-in will do to my bankroll.

Ok gotta get back to stealing those 75c blinds lol.

Winning Sessions at Ring Games at the Metro

Well after having a horrendous run at online play (down somewhere like $300) I decided to play against my old nemesis: Ring Games.

I have not done well in ring before because I was stuck in my tournament mode. I just didn't find blinds that did not increase that appealing. But after busting out of 12 straight SnGs (8 of them on the bubble) I just felt I needed a change in atmosphere.

So last Tuesday I decided to give the 25/50 games at the Metro a shot. Bought in for P2,000 and in 20 mins I was down to P700. This was another downside to playing online poker. Playing 3 tables turbo SnGs had reduced my patience to that of a 2 year old.

I buckled down and thought this was the perfect time to re-enlighten my patience I finally caught some good cards and good flops. The net result? I cashed out close to P10,000 that night.

I then came back the next night and bought in for P3,000. I cashed out P8,500 so once again a good night. Now my goal is to play online casually and hit the metro close to every night. My experiment is to post 15 straight winning sessions. Let's see what happens.
